You are not going to let caregiver stress burn you out...are you? Not you...oh no sirree!

Try these:

- water, water, water: keep yourself hydrated, suggestion is 1/2 your body weight in fluid ozs. Ex: if you weigh 160 then drink ~80 ozs of water, good clear water - or flavored to taste with fruits or veggies.

- use the bathroom: if you drink the water your body needs, then you'll need to be visiting the bathroom often throughout the day. use this time to breathe, wash your face, clear your mind.

- breathe: deeply breathe often, practice breathing, especially when you feel stress, utilize your smart watch or fitbit to track your breathing.

- play: being playful is an artform, it tells your mind and body that you're alive.

- smile: look in the mirror and smile like you mean it.

- stop wishing things were different: this is the choice you've made; make the most of it.

- me time: schedule 'me time' into your day and go to your favorite place and wrap yourself in peace, quiet, music, reading, etc.

- togetherness: get together with friends and family and promise to talk about happy things
